Rongali Bihu celebrated in A.D.P. College

Anandaram Dhekial Phookan College in Nagaon welcomed Rongali Bihu in a colourful function on April 11, 2015. It was a day full of excitement. The Extra-curricular Activity wing of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organised the function. Both students and teachers joined the dance programmes.

There is a tradition in Assam to welcome Rongali Bihu. The A.D.P. College family carried out that social tradition. The Bihu festivity was inaugurated by Folklorist Chou Lokeswar Gogoi in presence of our college family. He delivered an illuminating speech too.

I happen to be co-ordinator of the IQAC of A.D.P. College. So I had the priviledge of accompanying Chou Lokeswar Gogoi while he hoisted Bihu flag. He was assisted by Dr Sadananda Payeng, convener of the Extra-curricular Activity wing
