Library of Congress catalogued English biographies of Srimanta Sankaradeva

Library of Congress catalogued my two English biographies of Srimanta Sankaradeva published in 1995 and 2005 respectively. Both titles were published by Bani Mandir, Guwahati, Assam. I don't know when and how these cataloguing were done or when Library of Congress procured these books. I got the LOC catalogue number in different links and then checked LOC website and found these details. I have shared it here so that US based friends can consult the books in LOC. I have seen these books procured and catalogued by the libraries of Universities of Boston, Chicago, Heidelberg, Toronto etc. The cover of the two books are given below. Both are now out of print.

A National seminar on Srimanta Sankaradeva's Contributions was held in Madhupur Than, Kochbehar under the aegis of Society for Srimanta Sankaradeva on November 23, 2014. Several scholars from both Assam and West Bengal spoke on the life and works of Srimanta Sankaradeva in the seminar. The scholars from West Bengal were Prasenjit Barman, former MP and Member of Kochbehar Debottar Trust, Himadri Sankar Bhattacharjee of Kochbehar, Dr Nripendra Nath Paul of Kochbehar, and Dr Sachindra Nath Roy of Kochbehar. Prasenjit Barman said that history of West Bengal was incomplete without Srimanta Sankaradeva. It was suggested by Dr Sachindra Nath Roy that a centre of research on Srimanta Sankaradeva be set up in Madhupur Than. Himadri Sankar Bhattacharjee said that the priests of Kochbehar even now recited verses composed by the saint. The English biography 'Madhavadeva' has been published by the reputed internationally renowned publisher Motilal Banarasidass Publishing House, New Delhi (established in 1903) under the imprint New Age Publishing. I have presented the details of Madhavadeva's life in 288 pages. It is based on my own research of the medieval hagiographies. It is available both in hard cover and paperback.
