An important academic volume “Bihu: The Agricultural Festival of Assam”, prepared under the aegis of the North East Zone of ICOMOS India and edited by me was launched on June 29 at the Annual General Meeting of International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), India. Philosophy of Sankaradeva in Harvard curriculum

It is my habit to occasionally check the net for posts about myself. I do this to find out who all are discussing my articles/books or which universities have collected my books for their  libraries . While I was doing it in the afternoon of 1st May, I was pleasantly surprised to see my name in a link of  Harvard University courses. It was in a tutorial website of USA which ran online tuition for different institutions.   Link of Harvard University Course When I opened the site I saw  that Harvard University had included my article on Srimanta Sankaradeva’s Religious Philosophy in their course material for the course RELIGION S-1010 run by the Department of Religion.  The title of the article was " Unique Features of Srimanta Sankaradeva’s Religious Philosophy  ‘ Vivartanavâd a ’:  [Comparison with other Sanâtana Hindu Philosophies]" . National seminar on Srimanta Sankaradeva in Ayodhya

An All India Conference on Srimanta Sankaradeva was held in Ayodhya on 20-22 September, 2024 .   I delivered the opening lecture and also conducted one technical session on 20th September . I spoke on Srimanta Sankaradeva's achievement of Sustainable Development Goals five centuries ago itself in this national seminar. This event was organised by Kutumba Suraksha Parishad. This event was part of their celebration of the saint's birth anniversary. Scholars from 40 universities all over India participated in the seminar. I was conferred an honor in the name of Srimanta Sankaradeva, for my literary works on the life and contributions of the polymath. The award was titled Srimanta Sankaradeva Sahitya Sewa Sanman.
